WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE HAVING AN EXIT…

The trauma of life sometimes makes us feel we are no humans, the challenges most often makes us feel neglected, most especially when we have no one to turn to. Life may be miserable when we lack confidant, everything may seem dark when there is no help in sight. Hmmm! This is alarming and disturbing, yet, someone loves you and silently saying to you; ‘I love you,’ but the situation surrounding us never makes us hear him because his etiquette does not allow him to shout or harass us to notice him talking to us.

I lost a friend recently, he was a friend you will assume had everything working for him, yes, he was comfortable based on the time frame of securing a job, but he emptied everything to death. If only people around him noticed that he was suffering from something beyond him, he might have being prevented from dying.

I’m not a good writer, but I express my feelings when I have the opportunity to write as much as I do. My inspiration for writing comes through God and life experience, my articles are not copied, they really came from my heart. This very particular one was written 0400hours when I got up from bed at 0200hours of the night and I went down the memory lane, I felt unfulfilled. I felt empty and see life from an exit point.

Yet, something keep clicking in me, ‘I’m your God and I will help you as at when due.’ I’ve come to realize that so many happy people we see and pray to be like are not really happy, they just try to wear a happy look to keep other people alive, yet they are suffering silently, they are helping others, but there is no help in sight for them.

How will you feel about a man who motivates others, who makes others fulfill their dreams, yet his dream is unfulfilled? What will you say about a man who makes people happy, yet suffering in silence and no one notices him, what will you say about that creative, intelligent young man that touches the life of many and his life does not receive any touch. Many believe that when you help others, you don’t need help. Many believe that when you solve someone’s problem, you don’t have one. So, many have it at the back of their minds that the rich don’t cry. Hmmm! The rich also cry, I feel sorry for many intelligent and creative people because they suffer more, many around them don’t feel they need help, that is the reason they die silently and innocently.

I lost a friend recently, he was a friend you will assume had everything working for him, yes, he was comfortable based on the time frame of securing a job, but he emptied everything to death. If only people around him noticed that he was suffering from something beyond him, he might have being prevented from dying.

There was this story that emanated from Japan. In order to renovate a house, someone in Japan broke the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space in-between the wooden walls. While breaking down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside entered one of its feet. He saw this, pitied the lizard, and at the same time became curious.

When he checked the nail, he saw that the lizard was nailed 5 years ago, when the house was first built!!! What happened? The lizard survived in such position for 5 years. In a dark wall partition for 5 years without moving, it is impossible and mind- boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 5 years without moving a single step since its foot was nailed! So, he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, he saw another lizard appearing with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard had been feeding it for the past 5 years…… Imagine? It has been doing that untiringly for 5 long years without giving up hope on its partner. Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can’t.

Please, never abandon your loved ones; never say you are busy, when they really need you. You may have the entire world at your feet, but you might be the only one to help them. A moment of negligence might break the very heart, which loves you through all odds….. Before you say something, just remember, it takes a moment to break, but an entire lifetime to make. This is such a touching story! I pray God gives us the zeal to help one another. How many lives have you touched, are you not an expectant friend, are you not helping them for personal benefit? Do you wish to help them for free? Are you not seeing your friend as a parasite when he needs your help? Why do we feel we love God when we fail to love our neighbors? We need to come to each other’s aid, God has not created an independent man, but interdependent beings. If you are at the top, don’t think you are indispensable; it’s easier to grow than maintaining the growth. Have you ever asked yourself a question that ‘if I die today, how many have I helped, how many people have I made happy?’ Where is the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola with all his millions of naira and where are the people who failed to help when their help was most needed? You have position today, but you oppress others, you have a limit, everyone around you only deceives you to get along with life, no one truly loves you, but they tell you what you love to hear because if they should tell you the truth, you can order them to be killed.

You can save a life today without noticing you have saved a generation, and when you kill someone today, you have extinct a generation.

Help someone today; someone close to you needs your help.
