VIC EL IS READY TO SET MUSIC INDUSTRY ON FIRE
Victor Egege dubbed VIC EL hail from Auchi in Edo State, he is an up and coming musical artiste, he studied Aviation management and Traffic Control from the Florida Black College University, USA, and he was privileged from age five to have been hoping in and out of United State, but he had both primary and secondary education in Nigeria at Chrisland Schools till 2006 before he left the shore of Nigeria to obtain his first degree abroad, Victor is a young creative man, who started writing poetry from primary school and in secondary school writing songs and poem for lovers who contract him to either write for their girlfriend or boyfriend during their birthday and stage of toasting, he also appreciate his secondary school for the opportunity granted him to perform during any student activities within the school.
Vic El, who was motivated into music by his mother said “I don’t watch television as a child, but my mother bought me a tape, so I listen to music when doing my study” and also the mother sings in the house during his growing age which actually motivated his spirit into music. The talent he discovered very early in life. He started writing songs for people and that made him believe he could do it and he started and here he is today doing well for himself in the ever challenging music industry, Vic El aim at becoming an international artiste.
Vic El, is the CEO of Bow Tie Music said while speaking with Wale Idowu-Shadrach at a meeting in Barrister Efere Ozako’s office in Yaba that his mentor is 2face “2face is my mentor; he has gone a long way, he has shown that the challenges of life don’t stop anyone from becoming whatever one wish to become. He has become the face of Nigeria, the face of Africa. Anytime I’m challenged due to situation and competition I look at 2face and I get strong”. He also promised to take the industry by surprise like Davido, Wizkid and another 2face did, having accepted that there is nothing new under heaven as well as in the music industry despite that the packaging and values he is willing to add will stand him out.
He as well prepared to use his platform to touch people’s heart, educate and excite the youth towards being themselves. He aimed at representing Nigeria for Africa and Africa for the whole world as a great musician. Vic El was privileged to have performed in some clubs and joint before he left the country in 2006, now back in the country with the goal to use his God given talent to help himself, his family, and the country at large. He dreamt becoming a great musician and aviation is an academic degree he longed to acquire.
Vic El, who thank God for his parents “I thank God for my parents and I appreciate them because if I’ve had another father or another mother I’ll probably have look different and not be what I am now. My parents actually wanted me to further my program in aviation, and to settle down for the challenge of starting a life of my own. But they also respect my view and they had given their support, morally, financially and spiritually through prayers”. The young man who at present had no serious relationship, is ready to tow the path of great men and ladies that are doing well in the industry from the late legend to the current seasoned artiste the likes of Fela Anikulapo, James Peters and the youngsters like Davido, Wizkid and the generation between young and the oldies 2face, etc. he also admit when asked if he would love to be in motion picture business dubbed Nollywood, he said with enthusiasm that he would love to be part of film making even fashion show since entertainment is all encompassing.
