What is your opinion about our culture that had been eroded by foreign religion and is culture same as religion in your opinion?
Broadly speaking there are 3 realigns Africans traditional religion Christianity and Islam both Islam and Christianity are foreign to indigenous African society in general and Nigeria in particular both Islam and Christianity has affected various Nigerian culture negatively almost to the point of total extinction . These foreign religions preaches and proof to be superior to the indigenous African religions. Both Christian and Islam came in with their countries of origins culture and tradition thereby imposing their culture and traditions on our people as part of the religion. Thus a Muslim convert mode of dressing, speech and all is stereotyped Islamic/Arabic so also a Christian convert.
“I am Christian not only been Christian but a Prophetess and movie and music are purely gospel”
There is a great difference between religion and culture. Whilst religion has to do with your believe in God whether through Christ, Mohammed or deities like “Sango”, “Ifa”, “Ogun” etc. culture has to do with codes and standards minimally acceptable for a reasonable person’s coexistence in a decent society. So it has to do with our mode of dressing, acceptable norms, decency, respect and other social orders. These are inexhaustible and differs from community to community even to families.
As a mother, what is view about your language that is going extinction and what are you doing to prevent it from total strangulation?
As parents and particularly as a mother, the fast fading away of our mothers tongue is worrisome but in my own family Yoruba and in did Oyo is the language of instruction and engagement at home. It’s the responsibility of parents to ensure that the preservation of their mother tongue is sacrosanct. There a lot of advantages therein.
What role do you think entertainment industry needs to play to become a beautiful pride in our quest for economic recovery?
The entertainment industry if well organized, regulated and given requisite attention no doubt like Hollywood, Bollywood etc. can contribute hugely and act as catalyst for Nigerian economic recovery; the market, audience and every other resources to deliver all abounds only waiting to be harnessed
“I want am Christian not only been Christian but a Prophetess and movie and music are purely gospel”
How best should we dress as a Christian to win souls?
Everyone knows what is ideal, reasonable and normal wear’s not only to win souls but in the region of modesty, simple, comfortable and affordable dresses. Sexy, provocative, expository, partying and the babel dressing is out of it anyway
