Don’t give up-work on your dream

Most times I wonder why people attempt suicide; Imagine why people see death as an alternative to the circumstances they are passing through. No matter what people pass through, it is only a phase that will soon pass away. The book of Ecclesiastes says in chapter 3 vs 1. “To everything there is season, and a time to every purpose under heaven”. You will succeed at your appointed time so keep working hard and have faith in God. When you are due you will not be denied.

Zig Ziglar wrote in his book “you can reach the top” “sitting still and wishing makes no person great. The good lord sends the fishes, but you must dig the bait”. Success is about tenaciously working hard and taking risks. Keep giving it all you’ve got and God will crown your efforts with success.

Ecclesiastes 3 vs. 4 “A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance”. My friend you should read the book “An enemy called average by John L. Mason “if you have a dream without aggravations, you don’t really have a dream”. He also wrote that “circumstances are rulers of the weak; but they are instruments of the wise”. Hello! Where do you belong, amongst the weak or the wise? Don’t give up; keep working at your dream.

Let’s look at the life of Ants, according to Bob Russell in his book titled “when life is a zoo God still loves you”. He said “Ants are instinctively diligent creature, whether they are scouting out food at a picnic, carting a morsel back to the anthill, burrowing the ground, feeding the larvae, protecting the queen, outfighting a battles against adversaries, they are constantly active”. Review your life, are you lazy, thirty days make a pay, whether the company survives or not your salary must be paid. Have you considered that if the Wimbledon family of Coca-Cola, Henry Nestle of Nestlé Foods, Cadbury and Schweppes of Cadbury Group now Kraft Foods were to be you, will you be able to apply for jobs in those places today? Or if Mike Adenuga of Global Communications (Glo) and Consolidated Oil Nigeria (Conoil), Jimoh Ibrahim of Global Fleet Group, Oba Otudeko of Honeywell  and Aliyu Dangote of Dangote group were waiting for someone to do it, would you have applied for job in those places? You are an inventor and a creator; make use of your God given potentials.

Who do you associate with? Proverb 13:20 reads “he that walketh with the wise, shall be wise; but a companion of fools shall be destroyed”. Tony Olukoyede wrote in his book “Foundation to success” that “success comes when we are purpose powered” a weak man will always be a stooge, backbiter and killer, envious and have nothing but hatred and an unforgiving spirit. Make yourself free from all these bondages and you can achieve something better.

Martin Luther King Jr. fought for the emancipation of blacks, that brought about the leadership of a black man in America which is highly unprecedented President Barrack Obama of Kenya origin, Nelson Mandela fought against apartheid in South Africa, Mahatma Gandhi fought for the independence of India, what do you fight for, stealing public funds, maiming people for office and promotions, killing to save name that was not there, destroying others for your benefit and portraying yourself an as hero? They choose to be instruments of positive change and not being greedy, they acquire no material things yet they are worship like a god by the entire world. Your situation may be bad today but if you don’t give up, you may create a better name than the few mentioned above.

I use the gift I have, for in the usage I find joy and happiness, I don’t necessarily have what it takes to live, but I enjoy living with what is available that I might add value and bring smiles to people’s faces while I live. Silver and gold have I none but I bless your life with the gift God has endowed me with.

As common as the word ‘purpose’ appears to be, only few persons all over the world can tell with precision what their purposeson earth is. Purpose is the intention, aim or function of something. It is the thing that something or someone is supposed or destined or created or equipped or fashioned or engineered or configured to achieve. Simply put, purpose is the ‘why’ of you.

This great woman at age 3 told whoever cared to listen that she will be paid to talk. As little as she was back then, she had a clear idea of her purpose. She is Oprah Winfrey.

  • The greatest tragedy is not death but life without a purpose – Dr. Myles.
  • Life is meaningless when reason for living is unknown.
  • It is possible that you are doing something good that is wrong for you.
  • Until the question of WHY is answered there can’t be a personal, corporate or national fulfillment.
  • The best way to waste time, energy, resources and life is not to know purpose.
  • One major reason why you must discover your purpose is because:

  • Your arrival on the planet earth was not accidental, it was fearfully and carefully plannedby God (Psalms 139:14).
  • You are unique, special, precious and genuine.Inother words, you are original.
  • Another important reason why you must discover your purpose is because:
  • Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:20).
  • But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purpose of His heart through all generations (Ps33:11).
  • The Lord Almighty has sworn, “surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand (Is14:24).
  • Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say my purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please (Is46:9-10).
  • You can do all you want as long as it is not in line with God’s purpose for your life, you can’t live a fulfilledorajoyfulorapeacefullife.Liferatherbecomesaburden.Don’tgetmewrongyoucanhaveallthematerialwealthbutsolongasyourlifeisnotinsyncorincorrelationorinalignmentorinunismwithGod’spurposeforyou,youcanalwaystellthatsomethingismissing.

What I am looking for is not out there, it’s in me – Helen Keller.

  1. There is a direct link between your talent(s)and purpose. By knowing what you are talented at, your purpose becomes clearer(e.g.Oprah-talk).Do you possess special abilities, giftsortalentsfor sowing clothes? Then the world awaits your fashion empire! Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations – Jer 1:5.

Everything in life stands or falls to attitude. Keith Harrell noted“Attitude is everything”. Attitude, not money, status, fame or connection determines how far one goes in life. Attitude is the mother of character. It is a “mind business” in other words, your mind-status towards life. It could be positive or negative.

Attitude is the mannerordispositionorfeelingorpositionorbetterstillyourstandpointtowardsa person or thing. It could also mean tendency or orientationof the mind.

In my own words, attitude is the positioning of the mind towards a person, thing or situation. It is your act of thought about someone or something (Prov 23:7, Prov 27:19).

You will agree with me that despite the evil and wickedness that has plunged the earth from the very beginning, the “mother earth” has experienced much transformation through all the ages. These dramatic changes were made possible by men and women of excellent attitude. The likes of Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Mary Slessor, the legendary Nelson Mandela and a host of others would not be forgotten by the world.

Ant Fact

The ant is one of the many tiny creatures of the Creator. By appearance it look weak and insignificant hence, the popular saying: “work like elephant, eat likeant”

As little as the ant is, it possesses special qualities distinguishing it from other creatures evenKing Solomon while addressing the issue of diligence made reference to the anthesaid:

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be

wise! 7 It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, 8 yet

it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at

harvest (Prov 6:6-8).

Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up

their food in the summer(Prov 30:25).

Ants are found in almost every part of the earth except Antarctica and a few remote or inhospitable islands. Their success in so many ways is attributed totheir social organization, and their ability to modify habitat, tap resources and defend themselves.

  1. Planning the Future – Prov 6:8, Prov29:18: you can’t plan the future you did not see and you can’t see the future you never planned for.
  2. Diligence –Prov 22:29, Rom 12:11, Ecc9:10 :if you’ve ever seen the ant on duty, you will agree it never gets tired.
  3. Identification of Opportunities – Eph5:16, Prov10:5
  4. Sociable – John 15:13, Prov17:17, Prov 27:17: ants are social insects. They live in large colonies or groups. They rarely walk alone.
  5. Unselfishness – Philip 2:3-4, Prov 3:27-28: always sharing and caring. You will never see an ant trying to carry a potential food all by itself. When an ant finds food, it lays down a scent (pheromen) trail for others to follow.
  6. Igore Limitation – Philip 4:13, Job 23:10.
  7. Adaption to Environment
  8. Getting Resources.
  9. Always working enthusiastically (heartily).

10.Ever joyful
