AGBEDE KILLED BY HOODLUMS FEW DAYS TO MOTHER’S BURIAL

The resident of Oleyo community in Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of Lagos is boils as a result of gunmen attack on the resident which claimed the life of Agbede Saheed who is preparing for mother’s burial on Saturday.

Agbede who was killed at Ire Agunloye a while returning home with his friend Gbenga Ajadi who went out with him to deliver clothing materials to friends for the purpose of the burial. While Gbenga Ajadi sustained injury and rushed to hospital Agbede was not lucky, he died instantly.

The resident are really aggrieved with the development because they claimed Agbede wasn’t part of the fight and wasn’t part of the party tussling for the land in the area, they felt he shouldn’t be a victim of circumstances and they promised to monitor the case and see to its end since they claimed that Baba Oloda who brought the hoodlums is a close associates of the Police.

Agbede who it was gathered was fully prepared for the mother’s burial, has brought even the cattle and other food items in preparation for the Saturday burial had three children and a loving wife.

“The incident happened in the afternoon. What would then happen if it was in the evening? People are boiling and calling for more security in the area.

“Agbede is the breadwinner of his family. He had made all the provisions for his mother’s burial on Saturday. The hoodlums just cut short his life. He is still in a morgue. The police have not released his body for burial.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed Agbede’s death, adding that the case would be transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, for further investigation.

She said, “Saheed (Agbede) died on the spot, while Gbenga sustained injuries. Four suspects –Taofik Omidiran, Kolawole Ogunlade, Ahmed Onabanjo and Alade Mabel – were arrested in connection with the crime. Effort is ongoing to transfer the case to SARS for further investigation.”
